Keeping you and your data safe

Safeguarding

Tate, A New Direction and Artangel have a child protection policy covering all work on the Tate Year 3 Project. If you wish to have a copy of this, please contact us.

Privacy

A New Direction and Tate are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to the Tate Year 3 Project website. In particular, we want you to know that we will not sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. In this Privacy Policy you will find information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and how we keep it secure.

Website cookies

Like most websites, the Tate Year 3 Project website uses cookies to collect information. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smart ‘phones or ‘tablets’) as you browse this website. They are used to ‘remember’ when your computer or device accesses our websites. Cookies are essential for the effective operation of our websites.

Our website uses cookies in three ways:

  1. To maintain information about your session on our server. This cookie is removed automatically when either you close your web browser, or a few minutes after you last access a page on this site
  2. To allow the site to recognise you when you return to our pages. No personal information is contained within the cookie
  3. To provide tracking of your activity on the website - see Google Analytics below. This cookie is not linked to any personal information about you and is used to provide generic statistical information about patterns of activity on our website.

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.tateyear3project.org.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

How we keep your details safe and secure

The data you enter on this site as part of the registration process to the project will be held and processed on a custom built customer relationship management (CRM) system on the backend of the site, developed specifically for the Tate Year 3 Project. We maintain this system to hold teacher contact details and information about your school needed to facilitate photography sessions. Please note: we will not collect or store any personal data about students, parents or carers.

All data entered when a school registers will only be accessed by A New Direction and Tate, and will not be shared with any third parties. Tate and A New Direction have a Data Processor agreement in place that meets data protection requirements.

We always seek to hold your data securely. Access to customer information is strictly controlled and the CRM system can only be accessed by A New Direction and Tate staff members.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold, however please note that removal of your data while the project is underway may affect your school's ability to successfully participate in the project. Email your request to our Data Protection Lead, Jim Beck.

Please note: by registering to participate in the project you are agreeing to A New Direction and Tate storing your contact details on the custom built project database detailed above, in case we need to make further contact with you in relation to this.

Tate and A New Direction will use the School’s contact details for the purposes of contacting the School about similar projects in the future.
